FAQ

What is therapy like?
Therapy is a safe space to talk about what’s really going on, without judgement. Therapy is done at your own pace, no pressure. You will learn coping skills and what it means to heal on a deeper, more individualized level.
-
Do you take insurance?
Currently the only insurance I take is Kansas Medicaid. Private pay sessions are $125, and I offer a sliding scale for a limited number of clients.

I have welcomed partners into session to help couples with communication and task delegation.

I am pregnant or nursing. Is EMDR safe?
EMDR is non-invasive and safe through all stages of life! Address any concerns you may have with your clinician.

What EMDR is not.
Not hypnosis - you are awake. alert and in control the whole time.
It does not erase your memories - it actually takes the emotional charge (triggers) out of the memories.
It is not reliving the trauma in detail - in fact, that is one of the great things about EMDR. We only focus on what is needed in the moment, keeping you feeling safe and in control, for your brain to heal.
